Working with SmartEmailing¶
Contact Synchronization¶
Contact synchronization occurs automatically when saving a record in the CRM.
- Create or edit a Contact.
- Ensure the Email is filled in.
- Upon saving, data is sent to SmartEmailing.
- If the contact does not exist, it is created.
- If it exists (matched by email), its details (First Name, Last Name, Address, Phone...) are updated.
First List
If the contact is new, it might be automatically added to a default list if configured (firstList field).
Contact Lists¶
Lists from SmartEmailing are downloaded to the CRM into the Contact List (ContactList) entity.
In the Contact detail, you can see in the "Contact Lists" subpanel which lists the contact belongs to and their status (Confirmed/Unsubscribed).
Adding to a List¶
While contacts can be added to a list from the CRM (if the project implementation allows), list management primarily happens either automatically (via SmartEmailing forms) or via bulk actions. The module primarily serves to let you see in the CRM which lists the client is in.
