Creating an Opportunity

  1. Go to Opportunities
  2. Click Create Opportunity
  3. Fill out the form:

Required fields:

Field Description
Name Opportunity name
Amount Deal value
Close Date Expected close date

Important fields:

Field Description
Account Customer company
Contact Primary contact
Stage Current stage
Probability % chance to win
  1. Click Save

Managing Stages

Update the stage as the deal progresses:

Stage When to use Probability
Prospecting Initial contact 10%
Qualification Need validated 20%
Proposal Quote sent 50%
Negotiation Active negotiation 80%
Closed Won Deal closed 100%
Closed Lost Deal lost 0%

Adding Contacts with Roles

  1. In the opportunity detail open Contacts
  2. Click Select or Create
  3. For an existing contact set the Role:
Role Description
Decision Maker Decides on purchase
Evaluator Evaluates the solution
Influencer Influences the decision

Kanban View

For visual pipeline management:

  1. In the opportunity list click Kanban
  2. Drag cards between columns (stages)
  3. Click a card to open detail

Filtering

Use filters to show only your opportunities or a specific time period.

Creating a Quote from an Opportunity

  1. In the opportunity detail click Create Quote
  2. The system pre-fills:
  3. Account
  4. Contact
  5. Amount
  6. Add line items and send
