Using the Map

Once the module is configured and installed, the map appears automatically in the record detail view (e.g., for an Account or Contact) if an address is filled in.

Viewing the Map

1. Open a record detail view (e.g., Account).
2. In the address section (or a dedicated map panel, depending on the layout), you will see an interactive map.
3. A marker indicates the precise location based on address geocoding.
   • The module composes the address from the fields: Street, City, State, Postal Code, Country.
   • If the address is not found, the map may not appear or may show a default location.

Map Controls

• Zoom In/Out: Use the + and - buttons in the top-left corner of the map, or use the mouse wheel.
• Switch Layers: In the top-right corner of the map, there is a layers icon. Hover over it to select a base map:
  • Basic: Standard road map.
  • Outdoor: Hiking map with contour lines and trails.
  • Winter: Winter map with ski trails.
  • Aerial: Aerial (satellite) map.
• Link to Mapy.cz: In the bottom-left corner, the Mapy.cz logo serves as a link to the full map on the mapy.cz website.

Geocoding

The location on the map is determined automatically by the Mapy.cz service based on the text string of the address. If the address is inaccurate or incomplete, the marker location may differ from reality.
