Working with Mass SMS

This guide walks you through the process of preparing and sending a mass SMS campaign.

1. Preparing Recipients (Target List)

The basis for sending is a Target List.

  1. Navigate to the Target Lists section.
  2. Create a new list (e.g., "Xmas 2025") or use an existing one.
  3. In the list detail, add recipients to the subpanels:
    • Accounts
    • Contacts
    • Leads
    • Users

Phone Numbers

The system automatically searches for a phone number for each assigned record. If a record has no phone number or is in an unusable format, it will be skipped during sending.

2. Creating the SMS Message

The campaign itself is defined by a record in the SMS entity.

  1. Navigate to the SMS section (usually in the Activities or Marketing menu).
  2. Click Create SMS.
  3. Fill in the form:
    • Name: Internal campaign name (e.g., "January Promo").
    • Body: The actual text message recipients will see.
    • Target Lists: Select one or more prepared target lists.
  4. Save the record.

3. Sending

After saving, verify the details and start sending.

  1. In the SMS record detail, click the button in the top menu (or under "three dots").
  2. Select the action Send Mass SMS.
  3. Confirm the dialog box.

Sending Result

Upon completion, a notification with the result will appear: * Sent: Number of successfully handed over numbers to the gateway. * Invalid Numbers: Number of numbers that failed validation. * Missing Numbers: Number of records in the target list that had no phone filled. * Opted Out: Number of recipients who have "Do Not Call/SMS" set.

Cost and Limits

SMS messages are charged according to your tariff with the provider (e.g., T-Mobile). Be careful when sending to a large number of recipients.
